Bottle-conditioned ales can be bought in Booth’s Supermarkets and in Duke’s of Ingleton.

There are just two breweries in our area and one significant local pub company. These get a page each:

News about pubs, firms, etc.

To encourage the best pubs in the area, we present a regular Pub of the Season award as well as an annual Pub of the Year. The current Pub of the Season is White Cross (Lancaster) . The current (2008) Pub of the Year is Woodlands (Silverdale) . We also from time to time give an award for Outstanding Services to Real Ale

We also visit local pub beer festivals and publish a report on each. The most recent was the festival held in June at Graduate College Bar (Lancaster University) .
